Types of Visa
  Visitor, tourist, and transit visas.
  Transit Visa
  Business/education religious visas
  Subject to regularization (STR)
  Temporary work permit (TWP)

 1.

Tourism:

  I. Passport valid for at least 6 months.
  II. Duly completed visa application form
  III. Two recent passport photographs
  IV. A letter of invitation from a host (with full address) accepting immigration responsibility or evidence of adequate funds.
  V. International certificate of vaccination for yellow fever(Yellow Health Card)
  VI. Visa fee
  VII. No objection letter from the company of the applicant and copy of passport and residence.
2. Businesses:
  I. In addition to requirements I - VII described above,
  II. A letter of invitation from a company in Nigeria, accepting full immigration responsibility
3. Temporary Work Permit (TWP):
  I. In addition to the general requirements above: An approval from Nigeria for temporary work permit (original copy) from the Comptroller General Immigration (C.G.I).
  II.

No objection letter from the company of the applicant and copy of passport and residence.
4. Subject to Regularization (STR):
  I. Passport with at least 6 months validity
  II. Completed visa form in quadruplicate with four recent passport photographs.
  III. Four copies of approved expatriate quota from the Ministry of Interior
  IV. Four copies of credentials and certificates(English Certified translated copy where applicable)
  V. Letter of offer of employment
  VI. Letter of acceptance of employment by expatriate
  VII. Receipt of online payment of visa fee.
Visitor/Tourist Visa, REQUIREMENTS : Top^
  • Evidence of sufficient fund for the duration of the visit or proof of other satisfactory arrangements for your support while in Nigeria. The Visa Officer may request other information from the applicants if deemed necessary. Applicants may be requested to come or may be invited for an interview as and when necessary.
  • Valid passport (at least 6 months validity)
  • One recent passport size photograph.
  • A copy of round-trip air ticket or Airline Itinerary
  • Letter of invitation accepting immigration responsibility or evidence of financial support while in Nigeria from individual Nigerians or Nigerian organizations.
  • Applicants for transit visas must submit copies of their onward air tickets and visas to their final destinations.
  • Tourist must submit copies of their certified hotel reservation or booking printout.
  • No objection letter from the company of the applicant and copy of passport and residence.

Visas for Minors

  • Birth certificate reflecting names of both parents.
  • Copies of the data page of both parents passport.
  • Letter of consent signed and notarized by both parents.
  • Two passport front-faced pictures of the children.

Invitations
Resident aliens inviting friends must submit copies of their resident permits and the first three pages including data page of their passports. Aliens married to Nigerians or invited by Nigerians must submit copies of their hosts’ or spouses passports and letters accepting responsibility.

  • Appropriate fee in US money order.
  • Duly completed application form.
Transit Visa Top^
 
1. Valid passport (at least 6 months to expiration)
2. Completed application form
3. One recent passport photograph
4. Copy of onward tickets and visas to your destination
5. Appropriate fees in UAE Money order.
6. No objection letter from the company of the applicant and copy of passport and residence.
For Visiting Visas, applications should be accompanied with the following:
1. Valid Passport (at least 6 months to expiration)
2. Completed Application form
3. One recent passport photograph
4. A photo copy of roundtrip ticket or flight itinerary.
5. Letter of invitation, accepting immigration responsibility or evidence of financial support from individual Nigerians or Nigerian organizations.
6. Children must submit copies of their birth certificates showing names of their two parents
7. Children of Nigerian parents must submit copies of the first 5 pages of both of their parent's Nigerian passports and a letter of consent signed by both parents.
8. Resident aliens inviting friends must submit copies of their Resident Permits and the first three pages of their passports.
9. Aliens married to Nigerians or invited by Nigerians must submit copies of their Host's or spouses passports and letters accepting immigration responsibilities.
10 Copies of the data pages from host passport.
11. No objection letter from the company of the applicant and copy of passport and residence.
Business/Education/Religious Visas, REQUIREMENTS: Top^

  • Valid passport (at least 6 months validity)
  • One recent passport photograph
  • A copy of round-trip air tickets
  • If going for business, letters of invitation from companies or business organizations stating the reason for visit must be submitted.
  • If going for religious purposes, approval from the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, Abuja, Nigeria must be submitted.
  • If going for educational visit a letter of invitation from the Host University or school stating its purpose must be submitted.
  • If a student, you must submit a copy of your identification card, with an accompanying letter from your institution.
  • Appropriate fee in UAE Money order
  • Duly completed application form.
  • Application for Religious Visa takes five business days
Subject to regularization (STR) , REQUIREMENTS: Top^
  • A valid passport (at least 6 months validity)
  • Completed application forms in quadruplicate (i.e. 4 copies)
  • Four recent full face passport size photographs.
  • Four certified copies of expatriate quota approval from Nigeria or approval from Nigeria for STR
  • Four certified copies of all credentials and certificates
  • Four copies - Letter of offer of employment
  • Four copies - Letter of acceptance of employment offer
  • Appropriate fee in UAE Money order.
  • Four copies of Up-to-date Resume
  • Police clearance report.
  • Application for STR visa takes 5 business days.
Temporary work permits (TWP) , REQUIREMENTS: Top^
  • A valid passport (at least 6 months valid)
  • One recent passport size photograph
  • Approval from Nigeria/Immigration Service for temporary work permit(copy)
  • Appropriate fee in UAE Money order
  • Duly completed application form.
  • Letter from company in Nigeria requesting (TWP)
