If your passport is 10 years and over, or if the pages are filled up, you need a re-issue and if less than 10 years you need a renewal. If your passport is lost, missing, defaced or burnt you need a replacement.
PASSPORT RE-ISSUE AND REPLACEMENT
For Re-issue please bring your old passport and a fee of one hundred and Forty Dirham’s which includes administrative, charges in Money order only. Cash or personal checks will not be accepted. Please bring 2 passport photos on a white background with both ears showing.

All married women who need change of name in their new passports must present a copy of their marriage certificate and a letter of consent from their husband stating that it is alright to change their name. Please also include a copy of the data page from husband's passport. Other individuals who would like to change their name must submit a copy of a publication of change of name in any Nigerian-based Newspaper.


All applications will be processed within 10 working days; (new passports can take up to 6 weeks) if all requirements are met, except for lost or missing passports which has to be referred to Abuja before a new passport is issued.
REQUIREMENTS FOR Emergency Travel Certificate (ETC)
          1. Police Report
          2. Two recent Passport Photographs
          3. Copy of lost pasports data page
          4. 140 Dhs. ETC fees
Only prepaid Emirates Post envelopes addressed and paid for by the applicants will be accepted.
REQUIREMENTS FOR FIRST TIME APPLICANT
Applicant should submit copies of parent's Nigerian passport and copy of their birth certificate.
First time child applicant should submit:

          1. Photocopies of parent's Nigerian passport
          2. Photocopy of child birth certificate.
          3. Letter of consent signed by both parents.
Only prepaid Emirates Post envelopes addressed and paid for by the applicants will be accepted.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PASSPORT RENEWAL
          1. Passport must be less than 10 years old
          2. Thirty five dollars passport renewal fees
          3. 50 Dhs processing fees
          4. Completed application form
          5. Self addressed prepaid return envelope.
Only prepaid Emirates Post envelopes addressed and paid for by the applicants will be accepted.
